Light to draw the eye to green urban spaces.
For us, this project exemplifies how light can create magic even on the outside of residences in large cities, where people usually seek to create small, even tiny places which, if well designed, can make you feel as if you are in some other part of the world, far from the chaos and frenzy of the city.
Our mission was to complement and emphasise the design produced by the architect Yan Perino, showing off the leaps of height created specially with new-generation recessed LED products. We created darker corners so that only certain spaces would be emphasised in the evening hours and gave importance to certain plant species as compared to others.
In the end the solution was a mix of extremely high-tech lamps and a number of decorative products, all managed via smartphone apps and a home automation system.
Illumination of parts of tree trunks, and a bespoke solution with many dwarf bamboo plants out of which the light escapes are some of the details that make the difference between a basic project and the technical lighting design that supported the Client for about 6 months before, during and after the works.
