“A taste experience”.
That’s exactly what it is, because Olio Carli’s sales outlets seek not only to offer and display traditional Italian products, but also to convey something of the culture of the food, aromas and flavours of our land.
Communicating effectively and consistently, partly by story, partly by service, the shop is distinguished by a family atmosphere in which craft values and an unmistakeable gastronomic style are the key protagonists.
And speaking of protagonists, we cannot fail to mention the end customer, with whom Olio Carli seeks to maintain an ongoing dialogue, getting to know what he or she wants and needs.
In this context lighting has a part to play.
Functional lighting, not excessive; placed only where needed.
Accent light for the graphic, to transmit its values; produced by floodlights that guide the viewer’s eyes around the space.
Accent light, strongly directed at the products and the product displays laid out with order and method along the walls and in the centre of the shop.
In both cases we personally oversaw the final installation to ensure the result was as desired.
We did the same for the window display, which is immediately visible from the arcade outside the shop; and for the logo on the wall facing you as you enter, which is now recognisable from every direction thanks to lighting from below.
It all goes to make Olio Carli a pleasure to be shared – a gastronomic, culinary pleasure all laid out in a narrative, museum-style display.
