We could call it, inaccurately, Rapallo Orthopaedic Centre Part 2, but we are more than ever proponents of the principle that every place has its own essence, soul and character which are unique and cannot be reproduced.
Genoa, a limited number of fundamental alterations; a primarily visual “aligning” approach – not homogenisation – in the centre of Rapallo, a sort of re-organisation of the spaces to make the shop suitable for retail commerce.
Not the new outlet but the first, the CPO base.
The alteration mainly improved two aspects of it: its visibility, and the organisation of the spaces. Visibility was improved by demolishing one wall, allowing the shop to give the right importance to the room at the rear and let more air into the shop. Additionally, the new division of the area made it possible to create a visitors’ room/open space near the entrance.
The colour made the surroundings less heavy and the graphics did the rest: important things, but communicated in the right way.
